Join Jessica Staines, Director of the Koori Curriculum for a live webinar on "Building Community Connections".

In order to provide quality care to Aboriginal children and families early learning services should seek to work in partnership with other stakeholders and service providers in their community.

This webinar guides educators to map their local community and identify key services, people and places to connect with.

We will discuss community protocols and develop strategies so educators feel confident in how to begin their journey upon return to their early learning service.

Q: How do I access the webinar after I purchase it?

A: After you purchase the webinar you will be sent an email confirming your purchase with additional information. We will contact you 1 week before the live webinar with Jess with the link to join.

Q: How long is the live webinar session?

A: The live webinar is approximately 1 hour long.

Q: Can I ask questions during the live webinar session?

A: Yes. The Koori Curriculum team is on each live webinar and will respond to your questions received during the session.

Q: Is there a payment plan?

A: Yes, via AfterPay. Choose AfterPay at checkout for more details.

Q: Is there a group rate?

A: No there is no group rate for this live webinar.

 Q: Can I share my individual access with other people?

A: No. The live webinar will be held on Zoom, links are specific to each individual.

Q: I have purchased the live webinar on behalf of someone on my team, how do I update their email address for communications?

A: Please contact us at info@kooricurriculum.com including the email address used for the purchase and the new email address.

Q: I have purchased multiple individual seats for the live webinar for my team, how do I ensure they are sent their link to join?

A: Please contact us at info@kooricurriculum.com including your order number and the email addresses to be included in communications.

Q: Will the live webinar be recorded?

A: The live webinar will not be recorded.

Q: Do you offer refunds on live webinars?

A: We are confident that once you watch the live webinar, you'll be sure you made the right decision. If you have accidentally purchased the live webinar twice (it happens) please contact us at info@kooricurriculum.com

Q: I can no longer attend the live webinar on the date I chose, can I reschedule?

A: We understand that availability can change, if you let us know by close of business 1 week before the start of your webinar that you cannot attend then we can fit you into the live webinar happening the following month.

Q: It is less than a week until my webinar and I can no longer attend, can I have a refund?

A: Unfortunately we require 1 week's notice prior to the live webinar date, please contact us at info@kooricurriculum.com to discuss options. A fee may be charged for changing dates.

Q: Who do I contact for any queries?

A: You can reach us at info@kooricurriculum.com and one of our team will respond within 1 business day.

Q: Is the webinar live and do I need to attend at a certain day or time, or will recordings be available?

A: Yes the webinar is live. There will be no recordings of the live webinars. 

Q: Are copies of the books mentioned in the live webinar part of the price?

A: No. The books mentioned in the live webinar are not included, some of the books are able to be purchased in the Koori Curriculum store, and others can be purchased through book retailers such as Amazon or through the author's website directly.

Q: I am a member of the Koori Curriculum Club, should I purchase the Building Community Connections live webinar?

A: No. As you have the option to apply for live mentoring with Jess and have access to the Building Community Connections webinar included in your Koori Curriculum Club membership, along with our other great webinars, we do not recommend purchasing the live webinar.

Q: What happens if I have technical issues with the live webinar on the date and time it is scheduled?

A: Please contact us at info@kooricurriculum.com and one of our team will respond as quickly as they can to support you during the live event.

Q: Can I download or record the live webinar?

A: No. We do not allow downloading or recording of our live webinars.

Q: Are the live webinars NESA accredited?

As of 5th February 2021, NESA deregistered all early childhood providers and any courses they had accredited, this included any offered by the Koori Curriculum.

Information about the new processes for accreditation of PD courses, including course content criteria, is expected to be available on the NESA website around mid-July 2021 and applications will open shortly after that time. We aim to apply for accreditation during this time.

Early Learning Educators are able to log completed hours under Elective PD course hours as they will count equally for teachers who are completing their Maintenance of Accreditation in 2021 and 2022:  https://www.educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/teacher-accreditation/meeting-requirements/maintaining-accreditation/maintenance-transition-arrangements
